The successor to Poco F1, the Poco F2 seems to be under development as the handset has appeared Geekbench. The Geekbench listing reveals the phone’s key specifications. Poco is the sub-brand of Xiaomi and Poco F1 is the first phone under this brand.
The Xiaomi Poco F2 listed with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, however, it packs the same Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood as seen in its predecessor. Now it looks a bit doubtful as the Poco F1 has started receiving the Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10.
Being a successor, the Poco F2 must come with some sort of upgrades, but here the software version and chipset are both same. However, the company may change it to the Snapdragon 855 which is the flagship SoC for 2019.
The listing also reveals the 6GB RAM for Poco F2 but we can expect an 8GB or 10GB RAM variants too in order to compete with smartphones like OnePlus6T McLaren Edition, Mi MIX 3, Nubia Red Magic 2, etc.
Although these are 2018 smartphones, we’ll be seeing more device with 10GB RAM or more up next year.
The Poco F1 was launched in August this year with high-end specifications such as a 6.18-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 845 SoC. An Armoured Edition also came with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
Recently, Xiaomi announced the availability of the Poco F1 Armoured Edition in 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
