Finally, we can see soon the Apple AirPower Wireless Charging Pad (mat) as reports are coming regarding its production. It’s almost a year and a half since its announcement.

According to a couple of tweets from ChargerLab citing credible sources, there are two companies involved in the production of the Apple AirPower, Luxshare Precision, and Pegatron. According to the tweet, Luxshare Precision has already started producing Apple AirPower, while Pegatron will start the mass production of AirPower on Jan 21.

You can see both tweets below:

Apple announced the AirPower in 2017 with the launch scheduled for September 2018. So it’s already late. We don’t know nor Apple has disclosed the reason why it took so long for the AirPower to come under production if the above tweets are to be believed.

Luxshare Precision has been involved in the manufacturing of Apple AirPods and USB-C cables. Now in 2019, Apple is expected to host events at some point of time in March and April, so we can expect something in that.
