Away from the CES 2019 in Las Vegas, the Korean market gets a new premium mid-range smartphone, the LG Q9. It’s almost identical to the G7 Fit inside and out.

The Q9 is a new member of the Q-series, however, there are two things that could disappoint some users. The first point is the Snapdragon 821 processor which was launched in 2016 and the phone ships with Android 8.1 Oreo.

The design of the LG Q9 is not very different from the other models in the series. In fact, the rear panel has a similar design as seen in the LG Q7 and G7 Fit. A single camera accompanied by the fingerprint reader.

LG Q9 Specifications and Features

The phone comes with a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 pixels. It is an IPS Super Bright LCD panel compatible with HDR10 technology and a notch on the top.

Talking about the build quality of the LG Q9. The phone enjoys the IP68 certification which makes it stand against water and dust. It also has MIL-STD-810G military grade certificate.

Under the hood, the phone packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and next to it, we found 4GB of RAM and storage of 64GB expandable by microSD up to 2 TB. As for the battery, 3,000 mAh will be responsible for keeping the lights on, and the fast charge will be at our end when it runs out.

As mentioned earlier, the Q9 mounts a single camera on its back with a resolution of 16-megapixels and AI capabilities. The AI tech is a must have feature in order to stand in the competition.

The front camera is an 8-megapixel. For details related to the multimedia section, the company has included Boom Box speakers, as well as a Quad DAC HiFi 32-bit integration.

LG Q9 Price and Availability

Although its presentation has taken place today, LG has confirmed through its official blog for Korea that the Q9 will not be available until July. The price of the phone is 499,400 won in the Korean market and will go on sale on July 11 in black, blue and red color options.
