LG Electronics has started sending out invites for its event on February 24 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. At the event, the company will be unveiling its 5G smartphone for the first time along with other products.
LG Electronics will show its products to visitors at the CCIB (Center de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona) in Barcelona, Spain.
In addition, the company said it is working with major carriers in North America, South Korea, and Europe to make the device available to consumers. These are the markets where 5G service will be launched this year.
The company also confirmed some of the key specifications of LG 5G smartphone such as the Snapdragon 855, 4000mAh battery and a new cooling system. This cooling system will be “2.7 times greater” than the one found in the LG V40 ThinQ.
LG, however, did not reveal the name of its 5G smartphone. Industry experts are saying that it will not be the LG G8 ThinQ because the company is planning to launch a new line of handsets focusing only on the 5G.
We are ready to see the 5G war as other OEMs are also working to bring 5G devices. Samsung will also launch its 5G smartphone in March. Today Vivo announced it 5G smartphone Vivo Apex 2019.
For now, these are the first details about the LG’s first 5G mobile. We are expecting to see rumors, leaks or even official announcements over the coming weeks, as MWC 2019 is getting closer and closer to its inception.
