Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are receiving the January 2019 security update along with other improvements. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus update come with software versions G960FXXU2CSA2 and G965FXXU2CSA2, respectively.
It’s important to note that this is the second update after the Galaxy S9 duo got the Android Pie update last month. The Pie update came with December 2018 security patch. The update is rolling out in regions where the Pie update is already available such as Germany, Netherlands, and Malaysia.
The update brings camera improvement, such as the brightness of faces in environments with low backlight has been improved. The security of the device is also improved and also improve the stability of functions.
Those still waiting for the Android 9 Pie update might get the January patch and Android Pie simultaneously in the course of the coming days or weeks. The update is available direct OTA (Over The Air). So if you’re in the above-mentioned regions you can install the update.
