Tata Harrier, a flagship SUV which has been in discussions for a long time has finally launched in India. Its design is very similar to the Tata H5X concept shown in the 2018 Auto Expo. The Harrier SUV is based on Tata’s OMEGA Arc platform which has been taken from Land Rover’s D8 platform.
In July last year, we reported that Tata Harrier will be launched in 2019. There are four variants of Tata Harrier – Harrier XE, Harrier XM, Harrier XT, and Harrier XZ.
Let’s talk about the features and specifications of Tata Harrier. The SUV comes equipped with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A JBL sound system s also given.
Other features include leather upholstery, reverse camera, automatic headlights, corner stability control, rollover mitigation system and cruise control. It has a wheelbase of 2,741 mm, while the ground clearance is 205 mm.
Talking about the power, a Kryotec 2.0-liter diesel engine drives the Tata Harrier which generates 140hp and 350Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Tata Harrier will be available in Calisto Copper, Thermisto Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey, and Orcus White color options.
