During the Mobile World Congress 2018, we saw the Chinese smartphone company Vivo catch the public by surprise by displaying a smartphone concept called APEX. At that time, it was the first phone to come with a bezel-less display.
The APEX came as the Vivo NEX featuring a pop-camera. Now, almost a year later, Vivo has confirmed the launch of APEX 2019 aka APEX 2.
The APEX 2019 will be launched in India and China on January 24. The China launch poster was shared on Weibo, while the Vivo India tweeted the poster. A few days back, the company released the first teaser image without revealing much details of the handset. The Apex 2019 is codenamed Waterdrop.

In the new poster, there are clear indications of what to expect from the phone’s design. A more rounded look and no “breaks” or “cuts”, and really interesting integration of the screen with the body of the device.
However, unfortunately, many of its features are still unclear. However, the strongest rumors speak of the existence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It’ll be the main SoC for 2019 flagship devices, based on 7nm process tech.
Anyway, to confirm all these rumors, we’ve to wait for more leaks, or for its official announcement, which will happen on January 24.
