Chinese smartphone company Vivo is preparing to launch a new smartphone on February 20 in India. For the launch event, the company has started sending media invites which reveals the date of the launch and an image which confirms the phone will be equipped with a pop-up selfie camera.
However, the invitation doesn’t mention anything regarding the handset such as name, specifications, etc. But is speculating that the phone we can see at the launch is the Vivo V15 Pro. It’s the successor to the V11 Pro which came in 2018.
Vivo first brought with the pop-up selfie camera to its Vivo NEX smartphone with a purpose to remove the notch and make the display bezel-less. We saw the same feature in Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition.
Now, we’ll see a new smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera. Recently, Vivo unveiled its concept smartphone, the Vivo Apex 2019 which comes with a non-porous design. In this phone, the company did not make a word regarding the position of the front camera.
For a long time, we’ve been getting rumors and speculations regarding the Vivo V15 Pro that it’ll come with three rear cameras and a pop-up front camera. There is no official word about the specifications of the handset, but here we want to share what has been surfacing online.
The smartphone will come with Vivo’s AI-based Jovi virtual assistant which will be activated through a dedicated button. We are also expecting to see an under-display fingerprint scanner for the top variant of this smartphone.
Let’s wait for the launch to see what Vivo has to offer for Indian users. Stay tuned as we’ll be covering the launch event.
