Xiaomi Started Working on MIUI 11 OS

It’s a new year and almost every day we are hearing new news from Xiaomi. Now, the company reportedly have started the development of its next-generation MIUI 11 OS.

As reported by Chinese publication My Drivers, Xiaomi at its MIUI Core Experience Annual Meeting shed some light on the development progress of MIUI 11. The website also mentioned that in 2019 some flagship Xiaomi phones might come with this new MIUI skin.

Liu Ming, head of product planning department, said “the Xiaomi MIUI 11 system was officially opened. This also indicates that the new MIUI 11 system is about to enter the research and development stage.”

The MIUI 11 is said to be ‘new and unique’ as compared to the previous versions, MIUI 9 and MIUI 10. Xiaomi has released the MIUI 10 stable update to a number of devices including high-end and budget.

From September 2018, the company has fueled the stable version of MIUI 10 over 40 MI phone Redmi phones. Now we can expect the MIUI 11 release by the end of Q2 or the beginning of Q3 this year.

Recently, Xiaomi announced that Redmi will now work as an independent brand and will launch budget and mid-range smartphones. So, it’ll be interesting to see whether the MI brand of phones or Redmi brand of phones will get the MIUI 11 earlier.
