HMD Global has announced the Android 9 Pie update for the Nokia 3.1 Plus. This is the fourth Nokia handset to receive the Pie update within a week. Earlier this week, the update started rolling out to the Nokia 6 (2017), Nokia 8 and the Nokia 2.1.
The update comes with February security patch along with Android Pie features and some other improvements. HMD Global CPO, Juho Sarvikas shared the update news. However, it’s not yet known which region it’ll start off.

Though it’s a bit late because last month the company promised to bring the update in January last. The company came with the Android 9 Pie roadmap for a series of Nokia smartphones including the Nokia 7.1/7 Plus, Nokia 6.1/6.1 Plus, and 5.1 Plus.
The Nokia 3.1 Plus is an Android One smartphone launched in India in October 2018. It’s a bigger variant of the Nokia 3.1 featuring a bigger 6-inch HD+ display. It runs MediaTek’s Helio P22 SoC and came with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
The Android Pie update is rolling out in phases so it might take some time to reach all regions and users. You can wait for the update to arrive.
