Android Pie Update Now Rolling Out to Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto Z3 Play

Android Pie Update on Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto Z3 Play

After releasing the Android 9.0 Pie update to the Moto G6 Plus in India and Moto Z3 Play in the US, Lenovo-owned Motorola now releasing the Pie to the Moto G6, G6 Play, and the Moto Z3. This time the update is rolling out in Brazil.

Spotted by Brazillian tech website Techtudo, which reports the update rollout has begun for users in Brazil. We are expecting other regions to get it soon. The Z3 Play is not yet launched in India. It came to the Brazilian market in Une 2018.

However, the Moto G6 and G6 Play was launched in India in June 2018, so users with these handsets can expect the Pie update to arrive soon.

The Android Pie update brings bug fixes, improvements to the Do Not Disturb mode and December 2018 security patches. In addition, the update also comes with the partial dark theme, Adaptive battery, Adaptive brightness, Quick settings improvements, etc.

The Android Pie update on Moto G6/G6 Play and Moto Z3 Play is rolling out over-the-air (OTA). This means not all users in Brazil will get the update right now, but it’ll reach slowly to all eligible handsets. In the meantime you can check manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Software Update.
