The Pocophone F1, titled as Master of Speed, has been receiving a series of improvements in recent months that make it follow as a device of prominence for anyone who wants a powerful smartphone.
In earlier updates, it received Widevine L1 certification, which allows full HD video playback in streaming services, as well as the ability to record videos at 960 FPS in slow-motion mode.
Now the most awaited feature, 4K video at to 60 FPS on Poco F1 is arriving soon. In the official POCO forum (spotted by XDA Developers), it is reported that the development of this feature enabling 4K video recording at 60 FPS on Poco F1 is complete.
It should arrive after the performance optimizations. Of course, anyone willing to root and lose the updates via OTA could already activate this feature unofficially. But it is great that Xiaomi has understood and almost near of releasing it.
So no one will need to unlock the bootloader, just wait for the next MIUI update.
In addition, the update should bring a fix to the battery drainage issue after the release of Android Pie. The Wi-Fi icon disappearance issue is already fixed in the open beta.
Without an exact release date of the update, POCO promises that it will arrive by the end of the month. So keep an eye out for updates at MIUI. We’ll let you know in our news posts. So stay tuned.
