Chines smartphone company Vivo has announced a new sub-brand ‘iQOO’. This is not the first Chinese mobile company to come up with a sub-brand. Previously, we’ve seen companies like Oppo, Xiaomi and Huawei bringing their sub-brands to the market.
However, the official does not currently have too much explanation for the positioning of iQOO and the time course of product launch. But we are expecting the first launch might take place later this year.
Rumors are buzzing around that the iQOO brand might target the high-end devices and that it will be the main price/performance ratio. The brands’ official page is live on Chines social media Weibo which hints the initial launch in the Chinese market.
From the poster on Weibo, the screen elements are very technical and futuristic, and the visual center is the obvious iQOO. The first post says “Hello, this is iQOO.”
It is also said regarding the new brand that it’ll operate independently from Vivo and might focus on gaming phones. However, no matter what kind of guess, Vivo has not revealed more information about iQOO.
Looking at the current scenario, it is a big move in the follow-up of Vivo, and now we can only wait and see.
Let us know what you guys think of the new brand.
