OnePlus has finally announced its MWC 2019 event date to launch its flagship device and showcase the 5G device prototype. The company announces February 26 as the date when we can get our hands on some of its latest devices.
We’ve been hearing from 2018 that OnePlus is working on a 5G smartphone, However, we still don’t know if this phone will be OnePlus 7 or any other upgraded variant. In 2018, OnePlus had announced its partnership with UK’s biggest mobile network, EE.

It was also reported that the company will release a commercial 5G smartphone in Europe this year. Now we’ve to see what device it actually is.
A couple of months back, Pete Lau said at the event, “The pursuit of speed has defined the OnePlus DNA since OnePlus was founded five years ago. There’s no one more suitable than OnePlus to make a 5G smartphone. Our users are always eager to try new things and they are now ready to experience the next generation of connectivity and speed. In response, OnePlus has poured efforts into 5G research since 2016. Today, we stand poised to embrace the dawn of 5G.”
So we are looking for a 5G prototype this Mobile World Congress and arrival of a final product later this year. “The new generation of OnePlus 5G flagship devices will reach consumers in 2019,” the company said.
