Without creating much hype, Spotify now launches in India. The premium plans start at Rs. 119 per month, while the top-ups for as little as Rs. 13 per day. At the time of writing, the Spotify India app was only available on Android, and not yet updated on the App Store and Microsoft Store.
So we installed and signed-up using the Android app with version 220.127.116.117. At the starting, you get the option to select the song language such as Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam and more. In the next step, you can select the artist, minimum three to start off your music journey.
There is a free as well as premium account. However, the premium comes with several perks including ad-free service, allows for unlimited skips and users can listen to music when they’re offline.
The free version of the app only streams at 96kbps and song skipping is limited.
As mentioned earlier, the premium membership plan starts at Rs. 119 per month with a 30-day free trial period. You can also opt for the annual plan for Rs. 1,189.
If you don’t want to go with the above-mentioned plans then you can buy one-time top-ups as per your requirement. Below are the top-up rates:
- Rs. 13 per day
- Rs. 39 for seven days
- Rs. 129 for one month
- Rs. 389 for three months
- Rs. 719 for six months
