Two smartphone models were certified recently by IMDA in Singapore – M1902F1/T and M180F6LG, under the surname Redmi 7. Now a new smartphone with model number M1810F6LG also receives IMDA Certification.
This indicates that the Redmi 7 series will not be restricted to the Chinese market. The Redmi 7 series might have three models: Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro smartphones.
The listing does not provide any information on Redmi 7 specifications. Last month, Xiaomi’s CEO confirmed that the Redmi 7 family will be priced between CNY 700 and 800. This hints in a lower price range than Redmi Note 7, which arrived in China with a price of approximately CNY 999.
There is still no information on the global launch date of the Redmi 7 series. It’ll be the successor to Redmi 6 series which was unveiled in the second quarter last year. However, things may change, as Redmi is now an independent brand of Xiaomi.
The subsidiary will release Redmi Note 7 Pro, which will have an enhanced version of Redmi Note 7 from Snapdragon 660. The Pro variant might come with Snapdragon 675 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and dual camera setup at the rear.
However, we still can’t say anything for sure. We’ve to wait for an official announcement.
