After getting the latest edition of Google’s operating system to its Chinese version, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite now receiving the Global Android 9 Pie update based on MIUI 10. The update changes the build to 10.2.2.0.PDTMIXM.
The update weighs around 1.7 GB and includes February 2019 security package this year. New features that come with Android Pie includes adaptive battery and brightness, gesture navigation and use of the TLS security protocol as standard – plus DNS over TLS.
In December last year, the Mi 8 Lite received the Android Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro has almost the same specifications as the Mi 8 except that it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone comes with Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
There is a dual camera module with 12MP + 12MP AI sensors at the rear. A 20-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture and features like AI Beautify and AI selfie portrait. The main (primary) sensor at the rear is a Sony IMX363.
The Android 9 Pie came to the model by OTA. So you can wait for the update to reach your phone directly via OTA or you can download it manually. The download link is given below courtesy of XDA Developers.
