Asus has launched two new smartphones, the Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 in Brazil. These smartphones are the result of the partnership between Asus and Qualcomm as both devices are pioneers to have equipped Snapdragon SiP1.
QSiP1 (Qualcomm-System-in-Package 1) is designed and developed in Brazil which brings together several electronic elements on the same card. So, the Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 are the first devices in the world to come with the Snapdragon QSiP.
Earlier this month, we shared that both handsets have appeared on the Brazilian telecom regulator Anatel’s database. It revealed the design and key specs of both handsets. In terms of design and overall look, both Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 looks identical. The basic difference between the two models is the presence of an additional camera sensor in the Max Shot.
Let’s talk about the specifications of both handsets in details.
Asus Zenfone Max Shot Specifications
The Zenfone Max Shot has a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SIP1 Octa Core Processor 1.8GHz. The phone is available in two different configurations: 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. The internal space can be expanded to up to 2 TB with a microSD card.
There is a 4,000 mAh battery that guarantees up to 2 days of use (according to the manufacturer). In the camera department, the front has an 8-megapixel sensor with flash capable of recording 1080p videos. It offers beautification mode and portrait mode for outstanding selfies.
The rear camera has three sensors – the main camera with Sony IMX486 sensor of 12MP and aperture F1.8, the secondary of 5MP for mode portrait and the third wide-angle camera of 8MP. The rear camera supports electronic image stabilization and full HD video recording at 60 frames per second.
For security, you get both facial recognition and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Asus Zenfone Max Plus M2 Specifications
The Zenfone max Plus M2 comes with all similar specs as in the Zenfone Max Shot, except for it arrives only in 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal space option and dual cameras at the rear. The primary sensor is 12MP and the secondary sensor is 8MP.
Asus Zenfone Max Shot and Max Plus M2 Price and Availability
Both handsets are available to buy from major retail networks in Brazil. The Max Shot comes at a price tag of R$ 1,349 (around INR 24,500) for 3/32GB storage variant. The 4/64GB model is priced R$ 1,549 (around INR 28,100). The Max Plus M2 is available for R$ 1,299 (around INR 23,600).
