Xiaomi has launched the next-gen variant of its Black Shark gaming smartphone, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 in China. The phone is official after a series of rumors and leaks and comes with best in the industry features and specifications. The highlight features of Black Shark 2 is the 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 855 and liquid cooling system.
This cooling system can consume up to 14 degrees of temperature. That way, when the game mode is enabled, the CPU and GPU can maintain the maximum clock for longer, increasing the overall performance of the product.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Design and Specifications
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has some interesting design modifications compared to the predecessor. The rear camera now present in the upper left corner, arranged vertically. On the front, a better frontal performance than those seen in Black Shark and Black Shark Helo, with a fingerprint reader under the display.
It has a dedicated button that disables notifications and enables processor optimizations to deliver as much power as possible while avoiding distractions to players. Another interesting point is the possibility of connecting a control in the USB Type-C port to use in games, including some optimized in collaboration with the developer Gameloft.
The Black Shark 2 brings interesting hardware improvements such as the inclusion of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. This new SoC is found the recently launched flagship smartphones such as Galaxy S10 5G, Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi MIX 3 5G. There is 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, as well as up to 256 GB of internal UFS 2.1 storage space.
There is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution with 2340×1080 pixels, Adreno 640 GPU and besides the 12GB RAM, there are 6and 8GB RAM options also available. The dual camera setup has 12-megapixel (f / 1.75) primary sensor and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens (f/2.2 12). The front houses a 20-megapixel camera.
Other specifications include a 4000 mAh battery, Android 9.0 Pie, 128 GB or 256 GB internal storage and 27 Watt Quick Charging Support that allows players to access 30 minutes of gameplay with only 5 minutes plugged in.
