Xiaomi starts releasing the MIUI 10.2.8.0 Global Stable ROM for Redmi 6A (Codenamed cactus). It’s important to note that the update is based on the Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with version V10.2.8.0.OCBMIXM.
If the update pops-up on your Redmi 6A then don’t ignore it thinking it’s based on Android Oreo because it also brings the security patch level to February 2019. In addition, it also optimizes system fluency and improved system security and stability.
This is an OTA update and rolling out in phases, so it might take some time to reach all eligible devices around the globe. Below is the changelog:

Xiaomi Redmi 6A Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi 6A was launched along with Redmi 6 in June 2018 as a budget device. The handset comes with a 5.45-inch display and 18:9 aspect ratio. We get an Helio A22 processor which is clocked at 2.0GHz. The company claims that the SoC is faster than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 and MediaTek’s MT6739 processor.
There is a dual rear camera having a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The front has a 5MP camera for selfies.
