Nokia 9 PureView software update

Soon after the launch, Nokia 9 PureView is getting a firmware update in the US. This is the first update for the handset based on Android 9.0 Pie with version V4.19A and brings March 2019 security patch.

The update was spotted by Juan Carlos Bagnell and he shared this on Twitter, see below.

The Nokia 9 PureView was launched on 25 February and is now available for sale in the US. It’s the flagship device from HMD Global and also the industry’s first smartphone with five rear cameras.

The update brings camera improvements, user interface enhancements, and March security patch. It’s around 282 MB in size and as mentioned earlier only available in the US region.

Nokia 9 PureView Specifications

The Nokia 9 PureView is an Android One device and comes with Snapdragon 845 processor which is outdated for a 2019 flagship device. It flaunts a 5.99-inch edge-to-edge pOLED QHD display with 2K resolution.

There is 6GB LPPDDR4X RAM, five rear cameras, a 20MP selfie camera, 128GB of internal storage and 3320 mAh battery. The battery comes with Qi Wireless charging support.

The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) so it might take some time to reach all the eligible handsets in the US.
