Finally, after a long wait, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus now getting the stable Android 9.0 Pie update with the One UI interface. The update comes with build number G955FXXU4DSDB.

Right now, the update is released for the Brazilian models. it’s near to models like Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Note 8, that already had access to the update previously. The Android Pie update weighs approximately 1.6GB and includes the Android February 2019 security package.

In January this year, the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, and the Galaxy Note 8 started receiving the One UI (Android Pie) Beta in the US. The beta update comes with build numbers G950U1UEU5ZSAB (S8), G955U1UEU5ZSAB (S8 Plus), and N950U1UEU5ZSAB (Note 8).

Now the Android 9 Pie update on Galaxy S8 and S8+ brings new features such as gesture navigation, adaptive battery and brightness, app actions, and Slices feature.

The update is distributed via OTA and may take a few days to reach all eligible models as it is released in phases. Those who are more rushed may try to look for it in the operating system settings menu.
