Samsung has started rolling out the March 2019 security patch to the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and S8+. The update on Galaxy Note 8 comes with software version N950FXXS5DSB4 and G955FXXU4CSB9 for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
The update is released certain parts around the globe including Taiwan, Bulgaria, Romania, Switzerland, and the Nordic regions. it’s important to note that the Galaxy Note 8 is already getting fueled with the latest Android 9.0 Pie update. However, this update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ is based on Android Oreo and not on Android 9.0 Pie.
Right now, there is no changelog available, but we’re expecting there to be some bug fixes and general improvements. A wider roll-out is expected in the coming days and also more handset will be included.
Currently, the update is available over-the-air (OTA) so it might reach all eligible devices slowly. Or, if you are among the above-mentioned regions then you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update >Download updates.
