Vivo started rolling the Android 9 Pie on Vivo NEX S. The new firmware weighs 2.7GB and changes the build version to PD1805_A_1.23.5. The update brings a new colorful UI design and AI features.
Additionally, the phone also gets features like smart desktop, game box, camera optimization, etc. The Jovi AI Virtual Assistant now supports voice commands and also provides location recommendations based on the user’s current position.
The device also gains optimization for photos in order to give a better quality to your cameras. For gaming enthusiasts, the newly arrived Game Box will allow the device owner not to be interrupted by notifications and calls. The feature also offers a performance mode to increase performance on supported gaming titles.
The Vivo NEX S came with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box in June 2018. It’s a flagship device and holds the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood with 8GB of RAM. It flaunts a a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080×2316 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio.
Right now, the update is rolling out in China and there is now official word from Vivo when other regions will start getting the update. Stay tuned, as we’ll be reporting if there is any news.
