Xiaomi has launched its most affordable smartphone in the Indian market, the Xiaomi Redmi Go which comes just for Rs. 4,499. It runs on the lighter version of Android – Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition).
Xiaomi has already captured the sub-10k category in India with a series of handsets and now the launch of Redmi Go will even strengthen the budget market. The Go Edition of Android offers smooth performance even with the low hardware configurations.
Redmi Go Specifications
On the Redmi Go, you get a 5-inch HD display offering a pixel density of 296ppi and 16:9 aspect ratio. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor drives the handset which runs in the combination of only 1GB of RAM.
But thanks to the Go Edition of Android, you get a smooth experience because of the optimized app such as YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, etc. There is an 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable using a dedicated microSD to up to 128GB.
In the camera department, the Redmi Go features an 8MP rear camera with as many as 11 camera effects and a score of color filters. A 5MP selfie camera is given on the front with AI beautification mode. Both cameras come with support for Full HD video recording and auto HDR features. A 3,000 mAh battery fuels the handset.
