HMD Global launches the Nokia X71 in Taiwan today. It’s the first smartphone from HMD Global to come with a punch hole display and triple rear cameras having a 48MP primary sensor. We’ve already seen this type of display design in Honor and Samsung smartphones.
Yesterday, we shared the leaked sketch of the handset revealing the front and back design. Now the official launch confirms the design.
It’s a premium mid-range device and packs decent hardware configurations. The back has a glass finish housing the triple cameras in a vertical module. Let’s talk in detail the specifications of Nokia X71.

The handset flaunts a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The handset runs on Android 9 Pie and works on Octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor and 6 GB RAM. There is 128 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card.
The three cameras at the rear come with Zeiss optical certification and AI tech. The primary sensor is 48-megapixel, the secondary is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and the third one is a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
The handset has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies with aperture is f/2.0. To give power to the phone, a 3500 mAh battery is given which supports 18W Fast Charging. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS + GLONASS + BeiDou.
Nokia X71 Price and Availability
Speaking of the price, the new Nokia smartphone costs 11,990 New Taiwan Dollar, which is around INR 26,900. Registration for this phone has started and it will go on sale from April 10th. Right now, there is no information regarding the launch of the Nokia X71 in India or any other global market.
There are chances that Nokia X71 will be available in the global markets but with a different name.
