Xiaomi has launched two new smartphones in India, the Xiaomi Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7. The Redmi Y3 is the successor to Redmi Y2 while the Redmi 7 is an upgraded version of Redmi 6. It’s worth noting that the Redmi 7 is already available in China.
The highlights of the Redmi Y3 is 32-megapixel super selfie camera and a 4000 mAh battery. Both are entry-level devices comes at a budget price. The Redmi 7, on the other hand, also packs a 4000 mAh battery.
Redmi Y3 Specifications, Features
As mentioned earlier, it’s the successor to Redmi Y2 and comes with several upgrades in technical specs and in design as well. The phone comes with a 6.26-inch waterdrop notch display and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Redmi Y3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with the latest MIUI 10 skin on top. At the rear, there is a fingerprint sensor and 12MP+2MP dual camera sensors.
The front has a 32MP selfie camera which offers good pictures in low-light conditions. A 4000 mAh battery is also there.
Redmi 7 Specifications, Features
The Redmi 7 smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor, 4000 mAh battery and a 6.26-inch display. It also has dual cameras at the rear with 12MP+2Mp sensors and an 8-megapixel selfie AI camera.
The phone will be available in 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage options. It is a dual-SIM device and runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.
Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 Price and Availability
The Redmi Y3 price starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant and 11,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. The Redmi7, on the other hand, comes at a price of Rs. 7,999 for 2GB+32GB model and 8,999 for 3GB+32GB variant.
The Redmi Y3 will have the first sale on April 30 and Redmi 7 on April 29. Both handsets will be available via Mi Online Store, Mi Home, and Amazon India. It’ll be soon available for purchase through Mi Studio, Mi Stores & Mi Preferred Partner stores across the country.
