In March this year, we shared the news that Android 9.0 pie update will be rolling out to the HTC U11, U11+, and U12+ this Q2. Now HTC has finally released a much concrete timeline for the update on these handsets. As per the latest schedule, the HTC U11 will get the Pie update in late May, U11+ in late June and U12+ in June this year.
As always, the dates may vary from one country to another and from one operator to another. But at least it serves as an indication that yes, the Android Pie update is on track.
Check out the official tweet below:

This is the third time HTC has informed regarding the updates. Last time the company said that they are working to ensure that the update is compatible with their phones and expects the update to be sent to users from the second quarter of 2019.
It’s worth mentioning that at I/O 2019 Google launched its latest version of the Android OS, Android Q. Right now, the third Android Q beta update is rolling out and Google has partnered with 12 OEMs for the update.
Unfortunately, HTC is not on the list, so its users will have to satisfy with the Android Pie update which is gradually going outdated with the time.
