Activision and Infinity Ward have officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, the new installment in the first-person action series Call of Duty. The title will arrive on October 25 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC (Blizzard Battle.net).
The title is about a reimagination or reboot of the first Modern Warfare of 2007. It seems that the developer, Infinity Ward has decided to completely change the vector of development of the franchise from the “entertaining” and “fun” shooter to something more realistic and emotional, raising ambiguous moral issues.
Infinity Ward has wanted to restart the saga that once led them to fame. Users will participate in covert operations in both European cities and exotic locations, always accompanied by a diverse distribution of international forces.
“The new Modern Warfare ratchets up the intensity with an emotionally-charged and thought-provoking single-player experience. Edgy, culturally relevant, and shining a light on the changing nature of modern war, players will fight alongside a diverse cast of international special forces and freedom fighters,” Editorial Manager, Activision writes on the official blog.
Thanks to the new rendering system, volumetric light, and other aspects, the game is compatible with Raytracing on PC, 4K, and HDR (on compatible systems). It will also be compatible with Dolby Atmos, the new and revolutionary codec of Dolby multichannel sound.
