Square Enix has been pretty secretive about the remake of Final Fantasy VII, but every once in a while the company releases some information. But when it does it’s enough to stir up the curiosity of fans of the franchise.
A few hours ago during the State of Play, it was possible to check some more about the upcoming title for PS4. Although its developer did not reveal many details, only shared a new press release confirming that the game’s launch plans remain the same.
In a press release, Square Enix reiterated that the game will still be an episodic release – not surprising, seeing the sheer reach of the original game. Episodes after the first are likely to be released on the next-generation consoles.
After much waiting the Japanese finally released a new trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake (which can be checked above) giving us a quick idea of how your combat system will be and how some characters – Cloud, Aerith, and Sephiroth – will be rendered.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake is being developed by some of the top members of the original development team, including Tetsuya Nomura, Yoshinori Kitase, and Kazushige Nojima. It is currently under development for the PlayStation 4.
