Just like the OnePlus 6T launch last year, the availability of OnePlus 7 Pro will be exclusive to T-Mobile in the US. The operator today announced that the OnePlus 7 Pro will be an Un-carrier exclusive in the U.S. For this, the T-Mobile is hosting a series of exclusive launch events from May 14th-17th.
Despite being purchased only by the provider, the device should work in the network of other companies, such as Verizon. The model trade will begin as of the day of its announcement, May 14, for an 8 hour period, at the Times Square store in New York.
The carrier’s stores in Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, and Santa Monica will only begin sales starting at 2:00 PM local time the next day (May 15). The sale via the official website will start on the 17th.
“OnePlus fans showed up in droves to our Times Square launch event last year,” said John Legere, CEO at T-Mobile. “It’s clear our savvy customers love this brand, so of course we did what we always do – listen to them! We went ‘full magenta’ this year. Now, customers all across the country can get in on the action at all six T-Mobile Signature Stores!”
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with T-Mobile,” said Pete Lau, CEO, and Founder of OnePlus. “In fact, users can get their hands on the OnePlus 7 Pro for the very first time at the T-Mobile Times Square store on May 14, with takeover events at T-Mobile stores in Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco and Santa Monica on May 15.”
Right now, there is no word on the availability of the OnePlus 7 standard model through T-Mobile.
