Motorola held an event in Sao Paulo, Brazil to globally announce the new model of the One-series, the Motorola One Vision. It’s an Android One device and hence comes with a promise of quick and monthly updates. It’s worth noting that Android One certified devices are guaranteed to receive two years of Android version upgrades as well as three years of security updates.
Now, the Motorola One Vision runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie version, so it’ll get the next two Android updates which — Android Q and Android R. With this One-series, the company wants to give an option to users who are waiting for the successor to the Moto G or Moto Z.
The phone has a display with a 21:9 widescreen format which Motorola calls it a CinemaVision screen. So, in addition to the new aspect ratio, this model also has some design differences and brings a different platform inside, with a bet on Samsung’s Exynos SoC.
The rear also brings a technical detail that few will notice, the curvature 4D. All sides of the device have a curved finish on the corners, which gives a comfortable grip. Finally, the rear panel has a downsizing effect on the sides, following another trend of the market.
