OxygenOS 9.0.2 based on Android PIE for OnePlus 3 & OnePlus 3T

OnePlus has started rolling out the stable Android 9.0 Pie update based on OxygenOS 9.0.2 to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. Both handsets are quite old and last year it was reported that they’ll not get the update after Android Oreo.

In July last year, we reported that both models will the Pie update soon. And now it’s officially rolling out.

But this is really a treat for their owners. The update along with the new Android Pie features such as Gaming Mode 3.0 and Do Not Disturb, also brings the April 2019 security patch. Below is the complete changelog:

Both the OnePlus 3 and 3T were launched in 2016 with Android Nougat out of the box and in September 2017 the OnePlus 3 started receiving the Oreo update.

It’s important to note that the Android Pie update on OnePlus 3 and 3T is rolling out in phases and will be available to all OnePlus 3/OnePlus 3T users within the period of a couple of days.
