We’ve been hearing about the upcoming Redmi flagship phone for a quite long time now. We even saw the official video teaser a few days back revealing the pop-up camera setup as seen in the Vivo APEX 2019, Vivo V15 Pro and Oppo F11 Pro. The only point left till now was the name, but now it’s also confirmed.
Today, the Redmi CEO Lu Weibing on his Weibo account confirmed the name of the upcoming Redmi flagship device, the Redmi K20. He also said that it’ll be a flagship killer. However, there are no official details regarding the technical specs of the handset.
What we know till now is from leaks and rumors, some even look strong enough to believe in. Leaks also suggest that there will be not one but two K-series devices, the Redmi K20, and K20 Pro.
Yesterday, serial tipster Ishan Agarwal tweeted that there will be two variants and he also shared the color options and storage variants of both handsets. According to the leak, the Redmi K-series will come in Carbon Fiber Black, Glacier Blue, and Flame Red color options.
The Redmi K20 is expected to arrive in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB 8GB+256GB variants and the K20 Pro in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB 8GB+256GB variants. The possibility is strong that both smartphones will feature the Snapdragon 855 as it’s the SoC used in most of the 2019 flagship phones.
Another popular tipster Slashleaks shared the leaked specifications of the Redmi K20 Pro, see below. According to his tweet, the K20 Pro will come with 6.39-inch display, and three cameras at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor.
