Xiaomi has made the Redmi a separate brand, just as it did with Poco which released the Pocophone F1. Initially, we thought that Redmi will focus on cheap and budget devices but it’s not true. The company is about to launch a new handset, the Redmi K20 which will be a premium mid-range handset.
Redmi has now released the official poster revealing the launch date of the handset in China. The Redmi K20 launch is set for May 28. As an independent brand, Redmi has launched a series of devices including the Redmi Note 7, Redmi 7 and recently launched Redmi Note 7S in India.
However, the Redmi K20 will be the top of the line model because we’ve already several leaks regarding the specs of the handset. Check out the poster below:
It will rely on a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and deliver great power, as we can notice by the score recorded in the AnTuTu Benchmark. The Redmi K-series must include the K20 and K20 Pro smartphones.
A few days back, a leak revealed the storage and RAM options for the K20 and K20 Pro – 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB 8GB+256GB variants and the K20 Pro in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB 8GB+256GB variants
Another leak suggests that there will a 6.39-inch display, and three cameras at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor. The phone will be running on Android 9.0 Pie, have a 20MP selfie camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging support.
