Sony has launched a new premium mid-range device in Japan, the Sony Xperia Ace. The new compact phone comes exclusively with Japanese operator NTT Docomo. It has a price tag of 48,600 JPY (around INR 31,190) and will go on sale starting June 1st in Purple, Black, and White color options.
Talking about the specifications, the Sony Xperia Ace comes with a 5-inch Full HD+ LCD Trilluminous Display offering a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset is driven an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC with up to 2.2 GHz and Adreno 508 GPU.
The phone will be available only in 4GB RAM option and 64GB internal storage which supports expansion up to 512GB via microSD card. The Xperia Ace runs Android 9.0 Pie and packs a 2700mAh battery with fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the smartphone bears a single 12-megapixel camera a the rear with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, OIS and EIS. The front houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a wide-angle lens, with field-of-view up to 120 degrees.
Like most of other Xperia phones, the Xperia Ace offers protection from water and dust with an IP68 rating. The phone has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C connectivity options.
Right now, there is no word from the company if this handset will be available in any other part of the world or not.
