As promised by the Chinese manufacturer, Vivo has announced its first smartphone with a punch-hole display, Vivo Z5x smartphone. The circular notch (punch-hole) houses the front camera and allow its users to take greater advantage of the display with a more usable area.
The Z5x comes to the Chinese market under the mid-range segment offering decent specs such as a 6.53-inch display with 19.5:9 aspect, triple cameras at the rear, 5000 mAh battery and more. At the rear, you get a fingerprint sensor and the front camera has a 16MP sensor.

The phone comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset drives the handset with Adreno 616 GPU for graphics. The front punch-hole display houses the selfie camera with a 16MP sensor.
At the rear, you’ll get a fingerprint reader, three camera sensors featuring a 16MP primary sensor, a secondary sensor of 8MP with ultrawide lens and the third sensor of 2MP to detect the depth of field.
In addition, the Vivo Z5x packs a big 5000 mAh battery which is enabled with 18W fast charging support. For enhanced gaming performance and smooth multitasking, the phone comes with Multi-Turbo feature.
The handset is available in 4/6/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64/128GB storage variant.
Vivo Z5x Price and Availability
As mentioned earlier, the Vivo Z5x smartphone is launched in the Chinese market and comes in four variants. Below are the prices of all variants:
- 4 GB + 64 GB for 1,398 Yuan (around INR 14,000)
- 6 GB + 64 GB for 1,498 Yuan (around INR 15,000)
- 6 GB + 128 GB for 1698 Yuan (around INR 17,000)
- 8 GB + 128 GB for 1,998 Yuan (around INR 20,000)
The phone will go on sale starting June 1 in Extreme Night Black, Phantom Black, and Aurora (gradient finish) color options.
