Months after launching the Desire 12s and the HTC Exodus, HTC has now launched two new smartphones, the HTC U19e, and Desire 19+. The Taiwanese company is struggling to stay in the smartphone industry and it’s hoping a positive response from the new launches.
The HTC 19+ is a mid-range phone with triple rear cameras, while the U19e has a premium mid-range price tag but to stand out with some different features like the transparent back cover, the front panel without a notch, etc.
HTC Desire U19e Features and Specifications
With this new release, the company reinforces its position with a screen without a notch, 18:9 (2:1) aspect ratio, and relatively thick edges. It features the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 mobile platform offering an eight-core processor with up to 2.2 GHz in a single variant of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
The mid-range HTC U19e packs a powerful 3,930 mAh battery with fourth generation Quick Charge 4 quick charging support. Talking about the cameras, there are two rear sensors with a 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 20MP secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
The front also has dual sensors, but one is for selfies with a 24MP sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor to aid in the Iris recognition unlock. The handset also has a fingerprint sensor at the rear and a transparent back cover allowing you to see parts of the components that make up the smartphone.
HTC Desire 19 Plus Features and Specifications
HTC insisted on not taking any kind of notch to the screen so far, being one of the few (if not the only) companies that remained out of contention to feature a smartphone with wide, drop, u-shaped notch. But that has changed with the new Desire 19 Plus.
It’s the first HTC smartphone with a waterdrop notch. It has a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset and comes in two variants – 4GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage and a more powerful 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage.
Regarding the battery, the device has a capacity of 3,850 mAh and without support for fast charging. The phone has three cameras at the rear which features a 13MP standard lens (f/1.85 aperture) + 8MP 120-degree super wide-angle lens + 5MP depth camera lens.
The HTC Desire 19+ sports a 16MP, f/2.0 aperture front lens that supports auto HDR and instant portrait depth and skin mode.
