LineageOS is undoubtedly one of the most popular and appreciated custom ROMs among those available on the Android platform. It has over 1.6 million active installations and after a long wait, it has finally landed on OnePlus 6 (enchilada) smartphone.
The owners of this smartphone had to wait a long to have this custom ROM at their end, probably due to the use of A / B partitions by the Chinese manufacturer’s phone.
However, now the official support is finally guaranteed by the LineageOS developers (so far the users had to settle for one of the various unofficial builds available) and the ROM should be free of particularly significant bugs.
OnePlus 6 was the flagship device from the company in 2018 and came with some impressive specs at that time. It includes a 6.28-inch full-HD+ Full Optic AMOLED display with 1080×2280 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with clock speed up to 2.8GHz and an Adreno 630 GPU. The phone came with Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS 5.1 skin on top. At the rear, there is a dual camera setup featuring a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 primary sensor and a 20-megapixel Sony IM376K secondary sensor.
Owners of OnePlus 6 interested in trying LineageOS can find the installation instructions and the download link to this custom ROM at the source below. It should be noted that at the moment OnePlus 6T is not yet supported by LineageOS.
