Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and Tab S5e began receiving Android security update for June 2019. The new security update for the Galaxy S9 duo released in the markets of Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, while the Galaxy Tab S5e is rolling out in the United Kingdom and South Korea. Soon more markets will be covered.
The S9+ update comes with software version G965FXXU5CSF2, S9 with version G960FXXU5CSF2 and the Tab S5e with firmware version T720XXU1ASF1.
The updates don’t bring any change to the Android OS version, but it’s important to get your devices updated because it contains fixes to eight critical vulnerabilities of the Android operating system, as well as 11 exclusive fixes for Samsung Galaxy phones – especially focusing on enhancements to the One UI.
One important to point to note that the update also brings a dedicated night mode on Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. It’s the same night mode as seen in the Galaxy S10.
Talking about the Galaxy Tab S5e, the June security update is currently only available for the Wi-Fi variant. The LTE model will get the update at the June end.
