Android Q on Huawei devices

Slowly all major OEMs have started preparing their devices for Android’s newest version, Android Q. Now, the Chinese manufacturer Huawei has released a list of 17 smartphones which it wants to upgrade to Android Q.

Clearing some rumors, the company unveiled the models in a statement on its official website. The company’s intention is to release the update, at least, for the devices in the question. You can check all of the following devices below:

However, the implementation of the updates will only occur if Huawei and the US government can understand each other in order to suspend or cancel the ban. With only this, the way would be open for the Chinese manufacturer to return to work with Google.

Remember that last week, a leak guarantee the existence of internal testing EMUI 10 based on Android Q on Huawei P30. The information reinforces Huawei’s intention to upgrade its handsets soon.

“We are confident that our most popular devices, including the P30 series, will be able to access Android Q. We have been working with third parties for many months to ensure devices will be able to receive Android Q updates. Technical preparations and testing have already begun for over 17 devices,” the company said.

The end of this story can only be known in the coming months, with the likely conclusion of the impasse over the United States’ restrictions on the Chinese company.
