Redmi Note 5 Pro

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 6 Pro have started receiving the new software update with Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10.3. This is a global stable update which comes with MIUI version 10.3.2.0.PDMMIXM on Redmi 6 Pro and 10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM for the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It brings the highly anticipated Dark Mode feature along with May 2019 security patch.

These were among the best selling models of the company prior to the birth of Redmi as an independent brand. Now the Pie update will give their users a reason to cheer because it comes with lots of new features.

As for the new features in Redmi 6 Pro, the Dual VoLTE feature is introduced, along with the Dark Mode and the support for unlocking the app through face recognition. The complete changelog also mentions a series of bug fixes related mainly to calls and notifications.

As far as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 update is concerned, the changelog is definitely more stringent. The features of the update are similar to the one arrived on Redmi 6 Pro, such as the May 2019 Android security patches, Dark Mode and supporting the unlocking of applications via face unlock. There is also talk of new animation for recharging.
