Within hours of the global unveiling of Asus ROG Phone 2, the Taiwanese manufacturer decided to officially release its new gaming smartphone in the Chinese market – and best of all, giving consumers a final price.
The world’s first smartphone to carry the recently announced Snapdragon 855 Plus processor now up for pre-orders in China in four different variants. The first of these, Tencent Elite Version, starts at around CNY 3,499 for the 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage variant.
Other three variant include the Classic Version, Extreme Edition, and the e-Sports Armor Edition. The Classic Version increases the RAM to 12GB and internal storage to 512 GB. The model called Extreme Edition, which has the same specifications as the Classic Version, but comes with extra accessories in the box, will only be available in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, the more expensive version, called e-Sports Armor Edition, arrives with a custom cover with several accessories that include a 30W charger (usually sold separately).
