Although Oppo has ensured to focus on the development of its team and would be investing primarily on the Reno and Find series, the company has not halted from registering new brands for the future. With plans to announce its first foldable smartphone in the coming months, the company has now filed a patent for a new brand, Enco. This may be the new smartphone brand.
We’ve already seen the camera technology under the display showcased by Oppo in the Shanghai MWC 2019. So we might see the new brand opting one of these two innovative technologies. The registration was requested by Oppo in the EUIPO body and confirms the new brand name “Enco” for worldwide use. As you can see in the image above.
Unfortunately, there is no other information regarding the possible series of Enco smartphones. We can also can’t say for confirm if this would be the official name of the company’s foldable devices or the new models with a camera under the display.
There is scope for under-the-screen camera technology to be adopted in the next generation of Oppo Find X2 which is expected to be available in 2020. Oppo has also registered the names Find Y and Find Z, but we do not know exactly what technology these devices will feature.
So stay tuned for more information and updates.
