Google wants there to be fewer and fewer differences between affordable Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3 and so releases an update for the Playground app that brings with it a couple of welcome and awaited feature.
With version 2.6, Playground finally allows taking selfies with emoji in augmented reality using Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL, something that was not possible before.
Pixel 3a and 3a XL phones were launched back in May as affordable options for those who can’t afford the high-end Google Pixel phones. With this, Google targeted the mid-range smartphone market. Now coming to the Playground update.
All you have to do to be able to use the front camera of Google Pixel 3a to make shots with emoji in augmented reality is to update the Playground app from the Google Play Store, there’s no need to do anything else.
Right now, we can’t say it’s available for all users around the globe, so if not available in your region then you can wait a bit more.
