Samsung has finally introduced the Galaxy Note 10 Series and this is the first time the South Korean tech giant is releasing the Note series in two sizes. The Note 10 line includes the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus and also the Note 10 5G variant for the markets where 5G network is available.

The difference between the regular variant and the Plus is not just the measurements. The Galaxy Note 10 Plus provides more complete hardware and promises to deliver a superior experience. However, most of the features are same.

“From the very beginning, the Galaxy Note has stood for the best-of-the-best technologies and features. The Galaxy Note10 re-imagines this promise for the modern Note fan who uses their smartphone to take their productivity and creativity to the next level, and who effortlessly flows between ideas and endeavors at a moment’s notice.” “Every element of the Galaxy Note10 was designed to help users achieve more. Whether they’re finishing a big project for work, capturing and editing a video, or playing their favorite mobile game, the Galaxy Note10 will help them do it faster and better.”

DJ Koh, President, and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics

Talking about the external, Samsung has decided to go for a camera hole-display which Samsung calls it Cinematic Infinity Display. The result is that we have much thinner edges than Galaxy Note 9 and even Galaxy S10. This makes the Galaxy Note 10 deliver greater front performance.

The rear camera setup has been placed in a vertical module at the top left, which reminds us of the Huawei P30 Pro and several other smartphones in the market.

In terms of power and performance, Samsung seems to have no interest in the recently launched Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset which brings more processing power and more powerful GPU. Some manufacturers have started to adopt this new SoC, such as Asus ROG Phone 2.

Samsung has kept the same Snapdragon 855 present in the Galaxy S10 and in flagship devices from competitors. Some markets will get the Note 10 driven by the Exynos 9825. The CPU remains octa-core and the GPU is also the same Mali-G76.

Regarding the software, the Galaxy Note 10 comes with Android 9.0 Pie with One UI interface version 1.5. Samsung has made minor adjustments to deliver better performance and superior fluidity, but the same big focus is on the S Pen.
