A few days back. Google officially confirmed the name of its newest version of Android which was until now called Android Q. Now, it’s officially called Android 10. Following the announcement, HMD Global has released the Android 10 roadmap for its Nokia smartphones receiving the update in the coming days.
The roadmap reveals that some models are likely to receive the update in 2019. Talking about the previous version, Android 9.0 Pie, HMD Global updated all its smartphones to the Pie and of course fueled security packages too. We’re expecting it to maintain its reputation by providing regular updates.
The company via Twitter shared the infographic (see above) revealing the Android 10 roadmap for Nokia smartphones. Check out the tweet below:
After being the fastest to upgrade Nokia phones from N to O and O to P, I am super excited to share with you that the Q(ueue) for Nokia phones is moving fast as we get ready to welcome Android 10 on Nokia smartphones – roll out starts in Q4, 2019! #Nokiamobile #android10 pic.twitter.com/qXM4ZXAPBo

Nokia Phones Receiving the Android 10 Update
As we can see in the image above, from the fourth quarter of 2019, models like Nokia 7.1, 8.1 and Nokia 9 PureView will receive the update. But the Nokia 6.1, 6.1 Plus and 7 Plus will only be updated at the beginning of 2020. The Nokia 2.2, 3.2, 4.2 and 3.1 Plus getting the update in the first quarter of 2020, and the Nokia 1 Plus, 5.1 Plus along with the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
The Android 10 update will arrive on Nokia 2.1, 3.1, 5.1 and Nokia 1 in the second quarter of next year. While not delivering all updates in 2019, it’s important to see how HMD Global deals with the software update issues. It’s something that has always been a problem in the universe of Android devices.
