Oppo India has confirmed the launch date of the Oppo Reno 2 Series in the Indian market. Today, the company took Twitter to release the official launch poster confirming August 28 as the launch date. The image also reveals that the successor to the Reno will have a quad-camera setup.
Back in May, the first generation of the Oppo Reno with 10x Zoom was launched in India featuring a fin-shaped, exotic pop-up camera. Now the Reno 2 series will have 20x zoom. In Europe, the phone came with three models – Reno Standard, Reno With 10x Zoom and Reno 5G.

Coming to unofficial information, recently we saw leaked images in which a total of four models is visible. It reads, “Quadcam with 20x zoom” and the motto “see more, see clear”, implying that the new generation will come with improvements to low light photography or more detail in daytime photography.
The handset is said to come with a combination of 48MP main camera, 13MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP TOF sensor for depth of field data. The first-gen Reno was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, so we are now expecting the Reno 2 to feature recently announced Snapdragon 855+.
