The race for the launch of the first smartphone with a 64MP camera sensor looks like getting severe. Realme was the first to announce its plan for such smartphone tipped to launch on August 8 (next Thursday). Now, Redmi is also ready to launch a phone with a 64MP camera.
Xiaomi subsidiary through its official Weibo account shared the teaser image for the phone that’ll have the 64MP camera sensor. However, the company did not reveal the exact date, but the image only says “See you soon”. But the news is buzzing around that the phone should see the light of the day this month.
This makes it somewhat difficult to know if the announcement will be made next week or at the end of the month. Anyway, it is already certain that there will be no lack of comparisons between Redmi’s and Realme’s smartphones.
In addition to Redmi and Realme, another company that may be preparing to announce a smartphone with a 64MP camera is Samsung. According to Ice Universe, this device will probably be of the Galaxy A series and should be officially announced between September and October.
For now, it is still not clear which Galaxy A should mark the debut of this feature, but we all know that the next release of South Korea tech giant should be the A90. Note that all above OEMs (Realme, Redmi, and Samsung) must use the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor.
So now let’s wait for more information and the launch too.
