Now when it’s only one week left for the official announcement of OnePlus’s new smartphone, CEO Pete Lau has just posted the renders of the OnePlus 7T on the company’s official forum highlighting the company’s strong focus on the design of its smartphone. There is a sketch design and final design.
The OnePlus 7T is an upgrade to OnePlus 7 and its sketch design confirms the presence of a waterdrop notch and a circular module on the back cover to house the three main cameras. The volume buttons are on the left and the power button is on the right side. At the bottom, there is a USB Type-C port and the speaker grille.
“Since the beginning, the design has been one of our core pillars, part of our Never Settle philosophy. This means that no detail is too small to be perfected. Our earliest supporters might remember the OnePlus One launch back in 2014 when we shared OnePlus with the world for the very first time. We spent only one minute talking about specs and performance, with the entire rest of the event dedicated to design and user experience. This was very unconventional. At the time, the design was often an afterthought rather than a focus, especially in the Android smartphone world. We made it the focus. We wanted to change things.”

Pete revealed more details about the design of the new OnePlus model while recalling that in 2018 they introduced the frosted glass finishes for OnePlus 6’s Midnight Black and Silk White edition. The OnePlus 7T will arrive in a new smooth matte surface with a brilliant metallic radiance.
